The Praise Warriors Testimony

This story started 15 years ago when Wes and Karen first met while working together at a fast food restaurant. Within a year, they began dating and Karen soon after had their first son Wesley. They got married the following year against the wishes of their families. At the time of their marriage, Karen, who had become a Christian at the age of 11, had been in rebellion against the Lord for 2 years. Wes, who had come from NY 3 years before, had wanted to start a new life that did not include crime.
Unfortunately, the marriage proved disastrous and all the conflict and turmoil sent Karen back to a relationship with the Lord. Wes was living like he was still single and continued committing crimes. They had Shaw, Julian and Cheyenne in those first 4 years of marriage.
In the spring of ‘00, they separated due to Karen discovering Wes’ other life. Three weeks later, Wes was arrested for robbery and other charges. The night of his arrest, defeated and disgusted, Wes gave his life to Jesus Christ. Though sentenced to 6 years, Wes, by the grace of God, served 3 1/2 years in prison. God led Karen to reconcile with Wes and they spent those years of Wes’ incarceration writing letters, talking on the phone and seeing each other on visits. In 2003, when the children were 9, 7, 6 and 4, Wes came home.
Not long after, there was a contest at church where the congregation was challenged to put one of the church’s memory verses to original music. Now Wes, though he had made music, performed and had been on the radio, wasn’t going to participate because one of the reasons he had made music was to bring glory to himself. Now, as a believer, he only wanted to glorify the Lord. So instead, it was suggested by one of Wes’ friends Mark, that Wes create a song for the children. They won the contest and the Praise Warriors were born.
That was 4 years ago and it has been a very long road. The 4 kids recorded all their songs in a little bathroom-turned-recording booth in their auntie’s basement where their cousin and producer Geoffrey built his studio. At one point in ‘06, the CD was finished, but the computer crashed and the entire CD was lost and had to re-recorded. With the Lord’s help, they went back to the drawing board , or studio, and completed the CD that is now for sale.
Since Wes has been home, the Lord has blessed the family with 3 more sons named Vaughn, Kade and Rafe and 1 more daughter, Brooklyn. The family’s dream is to have people all over the world learning God’s word accompanied by their music and coming to a saving knowledge of Jesus Christ.
We give new and unique Christian-based artists an opportunity to showcase their love for the Lord through the art of praise and worship.
As many believe music is the window to one’s soul, at Christian Hearts Foundation we believe that praise is an expression of love. We seek to share that love.

I am a house music lover who accidentally became a DJ because of my frustration of not finding the house music I wanted on cds. I started my journey late in the game (age 42) and spent the past 5 years learning to mix and playing music in my living room for my own enjoyment.
I finally got the courage to play in public at an “Open Turntable” and, after appearing a few times, I was offered an opportunity to play during the breaks of the regular band and eventually advanced to playing 4 and 5 hour sets.
I developed a passion for soulful and gospel house music after hearing selections from SuSu Bobien, Barbara Tucker, Cece Rogers, Kenny Bobien and the list goes on.
“Gospel house music inspires me and assures me that it’s gonna be alright – even when I am frustrated and unsure of my next step. It deposits my troubles in a safe place until I am ready to pick them up again – mostly in a better state of mind than when I started.

HanSoul (“Hans”) is a disciple with unshakeable principles affirmed through Jesus Christ. The Philadelphia native hit the scene in 1991, with the hit song Imagination that went to the top 10 on Billboard’s rap charts (1991). Hans was the second rap artist signed to Epic/Sony records in 1991. He has also completed and album with Loud/RCA records in 1994. Though Hans experienced massive amounts of exposure and success, it was not enough to put an end to the insatiable pain, depression, drug-usage and confusion. In the year of 1995, during his darkest days he pleaded with the Lord Jesus Christ to give him a new life. Christ answered his prayer by compelling him to completely surrender himself and rededicate his life to Him. In this new life in Christ, Hans is now living his life behind enemy lines proclaiming the gospel and bringing others to salvation. In 2002, HanSoul and the Tribe of Judah released the successful and critically acclaimed CD New Jerusalem on their own label Fishermen Entertainment, Inc. distributed by Orpheus/EMI. The single Father Forgive Me, reached the top of the gospel charts next to Kirk Franklin, Yolanda Adams and Mary Mary. In addition, HanSoul and the Tribe of Judahs video Fishermen For Life is receiving heavy rotation on BET, MBC, JCTV, INSP, I-Life TV and The Word Network. In 2004, HanSoul released his solo CD Philadelphia Fellowship. The same year, He launched Holywood Records. Both projects aim to reclaim Hollywood for the Kingdom of GOD. Hans mission has caught the attention of televisions shows such as Visions, Good Day Philadelphia and cable networks NBC 10, BET, and Trinity Broadcast Network 9Praise The Lord Show) which have all featured Hans. He is also featured heavily in the worldwide Maverick Entertainment movie “Holy Hip Hop-The Movie” directed by rap pioneer Christopher “Play” Martin which was released in february 2006.
As a believer Hans has ministered before hundred of thousands and has ministered on stage with Fred Hammond, Mary Mary, Dorthy Norwood, Tye Tribbett, Crossmovement, Da T.R.U.T.H., Marvin Sap, Woody Rock, Lisa Mclendon, John P. Kee, Donnie Mclurkin, and several other artists in Gospel and Christian music. On May 3, 2005 HanSoul was signed by Mathew Knowles. Music World Ent. /Sanctuary Urban Records Group label. HanSoul was the first rap artist on their Gospel Roster. After much praer and seeking God Hans decided to release his highl anticipated 3rd album through Infinity Music Distribution & Central South Distribution. Hans is currently enrolled at Eastern Baptist Theological Seminary in Philadelphia and completing his Masters of Divinity/Masters of Business Administration degree. Wayne Buchanan… JAI {Jah.ye} – Jesus and I
Born February 19, to Allorie Heath , Jai is a Vessel being used by God, who’s purpose is to invoke in people the desire to fulfill Gods plan in their life through his gift of music…written and vocal.
He began singing at the age of eight (8) years, doing child like dub-plates on various sound systems in his home community of August town, but it wasn’t until he was fourteen (14) years that that his professional Christian calling for singing and ministry was realized.
The highlight of Jai’s Ministry as a singer and song writer began in 1997 when he became lead singer for the group “Total Praise” where they entered the JCDC gospel festival and placed among the Top ten, being recorded on the gospel festival album in 2001. He later joined subsequent groups such as, “C-Sharp” and the dynamic “Perpetual Praise”.
Jai’s popularity grew when he came along side Johnny Clarke and signed to his label Marjohn Muzik, where the hit single ‘Can’t take my Lord’ was birthed, and as vocalized by Jai, you truly can take anything… but his Trust, Faith and Love for the lord… you can’t take that away!!
In 2003, Jai through his connection with Johnny Clarke became a part of Katalys Crew , where he operated as lead singer and song writer for their second and third album; ‘Open Your Eyes’ and ‘Christmas ina Jamdown’ with hit songs Open up Your eyes, Only God’s Mercy, David Dance and Prayer for Change ( Rap-pa-Pam pam).
He has also been on other albums collaborating with, DJ Nicholas – On the Shout and Ryan Mark – Chosen Prodigy.
Jai has traveled the Caribbean with Katalys and as a solo minister proclaiming the gospel through song to St. Martin, Cayman Islands, and Antigua.
In February 2006, his contract with Katayls ended and he began his solo career operating under his own label ‘Image Records’.
Presently he is working on his debut album called ‘Best friend’ which will include his single, – All I need, Love and Shout Jah.
