The name James means successor which I strive to live up to this standard everyday of my life. I was placed with a calling on my life at an early age, shortly after receiving Christ. When realizing my calling, God begin to shape me as a leader to prepare for what was to come in the future. Beginning in my middle school years, I joined a Christian youth club entitled, First Priority (Bradley Middle School Chapter), which later was changed to Committed Young Christians a couple of years later. Joining this club and being involved with their activities allowed me to embrace the leadership that was installed in me by God. After graduation middle school and moving to high school, Hopewell High School, I was still involved tremendously with the Christian club, to where I was then appointed to become president of the organization for all four years. During high school, God gave me a vision of doing youth conferences to win souls for the kingdom of God and to teach young people how to be true strong gentlemen and true strong ladies in the body of Christ while maintaining high self esteem and living a holy and righteous life. After beginning the conferences, the attendants grew every year and each year, people came back with anticipation for a greater time in the Lord. The conferences became diverse and unified of all races, gender, and church denominations to come and worship one true and living God. While continuing the conferences, God allowed me to create a gospel choir in the high school, along with creating Talent Showcases to find unheard talents that lurked around the school on a daily basis. I was graced with the honor of receiving Outstanding Christian Leadership Eagle Award which was granted to a select few in a group of young people who have shown leadership and held an outstanding position in their school years, which led me to receive the Outstanding Senior Award that was given at the end of high school. I have traveled up and down the east coast preaching to churches as well as being able to speak to youth programs, seminars, conferences, and banquets as youth evangelist because of my age, which allowed me to become a mentor to many of the youth in Charlotte, NC. With my stature in Christ, I always stick by the motto, “With Christ, all things are possible…” I have to use the motto in my daily walk in God. I understand that in anything I do, I have to put God first because without him, anything I do will fail. Having Christ in my life has transformed me to be who strives to stay holy and humble at all times. Being holy and humble will prevent me from giving into temptation that the devil may throw. I’ve learned that being in Christ, you have to always let your light shine because it’s the light that’s in me that can bring others to Christ. Someone said to me, “if you gave up, then it would be no hope for those around you…” That statement gave me even more of a push to allow my light to shine because there are many friends, family, or anyone surrounding me that are counting on me to show them what it means to truly live for God in a righteous manner, even as a young person. I find that being a saved Christian in God, at a young age, has been the best thing that I’ve done. I would not trade it in for anything

Inspirational Thought!!!

.————————————————————————————————————————————————-

Sometimes we go through life and our hearts would be broken some sort of way. If you can stand and say that you’e never been hurt, I call you a fool. Life is full of struggles and many times God allows us to go through struggles, but he never allows the struggle to get the best of us. The bible talks about tribulations coming to make us better people so that we can be able to be glorified by the kingdom of God. Apart of those struggles deal with getting your heart broken. I’ve been down that road many times and sometimes I found myself weeping periodically because I did not know why things happened to me. Many times God was silent with no explaination, but he showed himself to be God in the midst of heartache. He allowed me to see so many elements that he can be to me and that he is all that I ever need. When he shows himself strong, it allows me to take my focus off of heartache and focus on him to know that I have to do the will of God for my life. Therefore I encourage you today that you can not allow your heartache to bring you down. Understand that God sees all and he knows all and he will never leave you alone by yourself. Know that in the midst of the struggle God will show you just what He is to you and that He is all that you will ever need.
