Project Rejoice

We are the righteousness of God in Jesus Christ. It's true. The bible says so, but what does that mean?

Does it mean we are perfect? Does it mean we are infallible? Does it mean that we can do no wrong? No, it doesn't mean any of that.

The truth is the same stinky sludge that we tread in the carnal world can and does exist in the world of Christianity. The truth is our waste stinks just like the worlds and maybe even worse because we should know better.

People, non-believers and believers alike shouldn't have to don the proverbial sludge treading boots in order to interact with us. Why should a non-believer believe in or want the joy of eternity with believers when they just want to run from believers they encounter here on earth.

We judge one another as less than because of how we dress or act or look. We have become the new Pharisees, careful observers of the law and Sadducees, denied life after death. We are not legalist and we should not abide in legalism because we are saved by grace and not by works. We as believers are not only called to believe in life after death, but commissioned to be a witness to this Truth to as many people as possible.

Before we judge others let's ask ourselves a few questions:
Are we the best Christians we can be?
Have be sought to build relationship with others before we hand them our judgments?
Have we dealt with our own planks before we reach out to help others with their splinters?
Are our hearts filled with love for our heavenly Father's children?
Are we praying that God's will be done or are we prying that our will be done?
Do we give freely and cheerfully without expectation?
Do we understand the foundations of who we are as Christians?
